2017-2018 Winter Forecast Update

Attached below is the official updated Free version of our winter forecast.  This is part of the forecast that was released on Wednesday to Premium subscribers, which contains a more detailed technical discussion along with month-by-month snowfall estimate breakdowns and discussions.  To give our Premium subscription a try, you can sign up here and begin getting daily forecast updates and frequent updates during major weather events, including school and travel impact forecasts during winter weather.  As we head into the winter season, we also have a Free mailing list set up to provide all of our Free updates during big storms.  You can just look over to the right and put in your email there to get briefer updates (though note that travel impact analysis and school delay/closure percentages are for Premium subscribers!)

October 11 Free Weekend Look

The below forecast is issued once a week on Wednesdays for free, outlining expected weather conditions for the upcoming weekend.  Confidence is around average in this forecast, as there is a slight risk of rain early on Saturday but we should otherwise remain primarily dry.

 

October 4 Free Weekend Look

The below forecast is issued once a week on Wednesdays for free, outlining expected weather conditions for the upcoming weekend.  Confidence is a bit below average due to the elevated risk of precipitation on Sunday.

September 20 Free Weekend Look

Attached below is our Free Weekend Look.  We note confidence is around average.  In most cases the weekend should be dry and models are in decent agreement, especially for Sunday.  However, there is some disagreement about where Jose’s remnants go, and accordingly there are a couple shower risks this weekend that will not be fully figured out until later this week.
